Mane are looking for an Electrical Foreman to oversee site-based electrical works on commercial projects, ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will be responsible for managing electricians, apprentices, and subcontractors, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring project deadlines are met.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate all electrical site activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and client requirements.
Manage and lead site teams including electricians, improvers, and apprentices.
Liaise daily with the Project Manager and Site Manager on progress, resourcing, and any issues.
Schedule and allocate work, ensuring productivity and efficiency targets are met.
Carry out regular quality checks and inspections to maintain high installation standards.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with ETCI wiring regulations and company safety procedures.
Manage ordering and control of electrical materials and equipment on site.
Maintain site records, including progress reports, tool/equipment logs, and timesheets.
Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth workflow and avoid clashes.
Attend site meetings and provide input on planning, progress, and problem resolution.
Mentor and develop apprentices and junior staff.
Requirements
Essential:
Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical trade certification.
Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience on commercial projects.
Previous experience as a Foreman or in a site supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of ETCI wiring regulations and Irish building codes.
Proven ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Full, clean driving licence.
Desirable:
Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and MEWP certifications.
Experience working on high-spec office fit-outs, retail units, or mixed-use developments.
Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and site safety procedures
