Job Description
Mane are currently recruiting Electrical Improvers to join a skilled maintenance team working night shifts on a major highways tunnel upgrade project. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a high-profile infrastructure project, with long-term work for the right candidates.
Your Role Will Include:
As an Electrical Improver, you will support qualified electricians and engineers with a range of duties in a live tunnel environment, including:
Assisting with LV (Low Voltage) electrical installations inside the tunnel
Supporting the installation, replacement, or upgrade of tunnel lighting and cable containment systems
Working alongside a team to complete first and second fix electrical works
Helping with the maintenance and inspection of existing electrical systems and infrastructure
Pulling cables, fitting junction boxes, tray work, conduit, and trunking
Ensuring all tools and materials are prepared for the shift
Keeping the work area clean, safe, and organised throughout the job
Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations in a confined space environment
What You'll Need:
ECS Card (essential)
Previous experience as an Electrical Improver
Comfortable working night shifts
Ability to work well in a team and take direction from supervisors
Highways or tunnel project experience is advantageous but not essential
