Job Description

Our Client has a requirement for a Electrical Inspector, who will be required to work on a 12 month contract basis in Reading.  Monday - Friday 8 hours per day  Outside IR35 (travel and accomodation allowances available) Immediate start available  Must be able to obtain SC clearance - Sole British National due to nature of projects Role Purpose: Electrical Inspectors are responsible for providing independent Quality Control and weld inspection services across a range of nuclear electrical disciplines. Services are provided at vendors', potential vendors' or other participating entities' premises and locations Job Role Responsibilities: Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external Customers. Deliver independent inspection and quality control services at operating sites and vendors relating to new equipment in manufacture, fabrication and construction. Review of fabrication / manufacturing documentation within delegated authority levels in terms of quality plans, ITP's fabrication / manufacturing procedures, welding procedures, NDE procedures, compilation and review of LTQR's. Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications: Have a good working knowledge of UK requirements for Inspection within the nuclear industry or transferable experience from another high hazard industry. Be able to demonstrate a proactive, self-motivated approach to technical and non-technical work. Have experience of managing a range of stakeholders and will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of influencing and negotiating, particularly in technical discussions relating to Inspection. Have good technical writing and communication skills. Good working knowledge of the Customers quality requirements Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and processes. Minimum of 6 years' experience in the inspection of Welded fabrications / manufactured equipment for nuclear and conventional power generation applications.
