A leading college in the stunning Lake District is expanding its Electrical team and is now recruiting for two positions:
Electrical Installation Lecturer
Electrical Installation Assessor/LecturerThese roles offer the chance to join a supportive teaching environment while shaping the next generation of electrical professionals.
About the Roles We are seeking passionate individuals with strong electrical knowledge and a commitment to high-quality teaching and assessment. Whether you have industry background, teaching experience, or both, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities (depending on role)
Deliver engaging and industry-relevant classroom sessions in electrical installation (Lecturer).
Carry out workplace assessments, portfolio reviews, and competency evaluations (Assessor/Lecturer).
Plan and prepare lesson materials, schemes of work, and assessments.
Provide constructive feedback and support to learners across all levels.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records.
Ensure a safe, supportive, and motivational learning environment.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and awarding bodies.Requirements (both roles)
Experience in the electrical industry or experience teaching/assessing electrical installation.
Relevant electrical qualification (e.g., Level 3 Electrical Installation, NVQ, or equivalent).
Teaching or Assessor qualifications are desirable, but willingness to work toward them is welcomed.
Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
A passion for developing learners and maintaining high educational standards.What We Offer
Competitive salary: up to £40,000 for Lecturer & up to £30,000 for Assessor/Lecturer.
Permanent or temporary contracts to suit your circumstances.
