Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

The Supply Register is working in partnership with Newcastle College to recruit an Advanced Technical Lecturer in Electrical. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced lecturers or skilled electrical professionals to support delivery across electrical installation and engineering programmes, with potential for longer-term or permanent opportunities.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in supporting learners to develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required for careers in the electrical industry.

Deliver high-quality teaching across Electrical Installation programmes

Support practical workshop sessions, including installation, inspection, and testing

Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons for a range of learners

Assess learner work and provide clear, constructive feedback

Contribute to internal verification and quality assurance processes

Promote safe working practices and industry standards

Create a positive and professional learning environment

What We’re Looking For

We welcome candidates from both education and industry backgrounds:

Essential:

Relevant Electrical qualification (e.g. Level 3 Electrical Installation, Inspection & Testing, AM2 or equivalent)

Assessors qualification (or willingness to work towards)

Internal Verification (IQA) qualification (or willingness to work towards)

Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards)

Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent)

Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of electrical systems

Ability to plan and deliver effective teaching for diverse learners

Strong communication and organisational skills

Confidence using digital tools to support learning

Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and professional development
