Job Description

As an Electrical Tutor, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across both theoretical and practical aspects of the electrical syllabus, including City & Guilds and EAL programmes at Level 3 and above. You'll inspire apprentices and learners by: Delivering engaging lessons and practical sessions. Assessing and supporting learners' coursework in line with awarding body requirements. Monitoring progress, attendance and achievement, and supporting pastoral needs. Maintaining high standards of safety, discipline, and welfare in workshops. Working collaboratively with employers, training officers, and inspectors to ensure learners meet industry standards. This role offers you the opportunity to bring your real-world electrical expertise into a teaching environment where it can have real impact. We're looking for: A Level 3 Electrical technical qualification (or equivalent). GCSE/O Level Maths and English (A-C / 9-4) or equivalent. Teaching experience in Electrical Installations (classroom and blended/remote delivery). A recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 (e.g. Certificate in Education). Recent industry experience with up-to-date knowledge of the electrical sector. Strong presentation, IT, and communication skills. Desirable (not essential): Health & Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely). Assessor qualifications (A1/TAQA). Internal Verifier qualifications (V1/TAQA). Knowledge of the contracting/building services industry.
