Job Description
A great opportunity has arisen for a motivated electrical bias engineer to join a leading manufacturing company who supply to a variety of industries.
Job Description:
Ensure proper operation of manufacturing equipment through preventive maintenance on motors, drives, PLCs, pumps, pneumatic tools, and production machines.
Provide continuous and effective service across all departments.
Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and electrical/mechanical equipment.
Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to maintenance schedules and departmental work practices.
Work cohesively within the team, documenting and communicating actions and needs.
Collaborate with area operators to resolve maintenance issues and communicate resolutions.
Perform planned maintenance on machines and equipment to a high standard.
Conduct shift handovers and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Address quality and safety issues promptly.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Interpret electrical and mechanical blueprints, schematics, manuals, and drawings.
Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and internal departments.
Uphold health and safety responsibilities for self and others.
Assist with stock takes as required.
Foster positive working relationships across departments.
Perform other duties as assigned. Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
Recognised Electrical Qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC HNC).
Basic PC literacy, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Experience in high-speed, high-pressure production environments.
Highly responsible and conscientious.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Highly organised and reliable.
Flexible with a strong work ethic.
Effective prioritisation and adaptability.
Proactive with a can-do attitude.
Team-oriented and capable of working independently. Additional Information:
£51,637.85 annual salary
39 hours per week (average) comprised of 3 x 12 hour shifts plus 1 x 12 hour shift 1 in every 4 Sundays
Day and night shifts
5% Pension Contribution
Life Assurance x 2 annual salary
