About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. Reporting to the Agricultural Maintenance Manager, you will play a key hands-on role in keeping our agricultural and domestic equipment running safely and efficiently in a highly regulated food-production environment.
This is a genuinely varied position that combines reactive fault-finding, planned preventative maintenance, and new installations - ideal for someone who enjoys diverse daily challenges and wants to develop their career within a supportive company.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on a wide range of electrical systems and equipment
Safely isolate equipment, diagnose faults (visual, mechanical, and electrical), and perform effective repairs
Install new electrical systems and associated equipment, completing appropriate certification and testing
Participate fully in the out-of-hours on-call rota (with the opportunity to become an Authorised Person)
Maintain high standards of safety and compliance at all times
Replace worn or defective parts to ensure smooth, reliable operation
Work flexibly across multiple sites as required
Essential Skills & Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation / Maintenance
City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing - essential
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) - preferred (training provided if required)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Solid understanding of commercial and residential installations (agricultural experience a distinct advantage)
Full UK driving licence
Excellent communication skills and a flexible, can-do attitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritise tasks, and perform well under pressure
Commitment to safe working practices
