We are recruiting for a qualified Shift Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading FMCG manufacturer working in Skelmersdale.
The role is working 4 on, 6 off - 2 x 12 hour days, 2 x 12 hour nights then 6 days off.

About the Electrical Maintenance Engineer/Shift Engineer role:
Working as part of the shift production team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability and performance of production equipment through effective electrical maintenance and fault finding.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production machinery.
*
Diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis to minimise downtime.
*
Prioritise maintenance activities to support production requirements.
*
Fault find and make minor modifications using Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs.
*
Support continuous improvement initiatives, equipment installations and site projects.
*
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.
Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Shift Engineer:
*
NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
*
Experience in an FMCG or other fast-paced manufacturing environment.
*
Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
*
Knowledge of Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLCs.
*
Experience with motor drive systems, including inverters, servo drives, encoders and resolvers.
*
A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills and a strong commitment to health and safety.
