Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer (17th/18th Edition)

Are you a highly skilled and dedicated Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a static site role with a leading Facilities Management company? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with 17th or 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations to join our team at a prestigious site.
About the Role:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be a vital part of our on-site team, responsible for the planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair of a wide range of electrical systems and equipment. You will ensure the efficient, safe, and continuous operation of all electrical installations within the commercial environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Performing scheduled PPM and reactive maintenance on all electrical systems, including but not limited to:
Lighting systems (internal and external)
Power distribution (switchgear, panels, cabling)
Emergency lighting systems
Fire alarm systems
Motor control circuits
Generators and UPS systems (where applicable)
Diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime.
Conducting electrical testing and inspections, ensuring compliance with current wiring regulations (17th/18th Edition) and other relevant standards.
Completing all necessary documentation, including work reports, permits to work, and logbooks, accurately and in a timely manner.
Adhering strictly to health and safety regulations, company policies, and best practices at all times.
Assisting with minor fabric maintenance tasks and supporting other trades as required.
Liaising professionally with clients, colleagues, and external contractors.
Identifying opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated, and highly competent Electrical Engineer with excellent problem-solving skills.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent, with a strong emphasis on electrical installation and maintenance.
17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) essential; 18th Edition highly desirable.
Proven experience as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer within a commercial or industrial static site environment.
Strong fault-finding abilities across diverse electrical systems.
Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) is an advantage.
A solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
