Role Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and professional Electrical services engineer seeking a new challenge.
The post holder will be accountable to the Team Manager – Engineering Services to assist the Engineering Maintenance and Building teams in the overall landlord role, maintenance and minor works of a number of Council and Independent Properties of differing size, age, construction and use to an approved standard and within available funding
Responsibilities
As part of a wider team including electrical engineers and building surveyors, the postholder will coordinate and deliver works through our supply chain, ensuring high standards and conformity to specification throughout.
Working predominately within the northern area of the county, to maintain office accommodation, education, fire and rescue, libraries, heritage and culture.
The post holder will by annual inspection, and in conjunction with the Team Manager – Engineering Services and Electrical Engineers, assist in identifying and recording the condition and estimated maintenance needs of the Electrical building services, and advise clients accordingly. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the ongoing accuracy of all condition surveys within their portfolio.
Participate as required in the development of continuous improvements into the condition survey process to ensure on-going updating and accurate completion of all required updates to the required timescales. Utilise and update from all systems available and continuously develop to ensure the on-going proactive updating of the condition surveys within their property portfolio.
Assist in collating the information regarding the above into a draft annual work programme.
Plan, procure and manage an annual planned and reactive landlord work programme, and a client funded minor improvements programme.
Key Requirements
Appropriate HNC or equivalent.
Experience in Electrical Building Services, maintenance and minor works.
Good communication and customer liaison skills.
A successful record of monitoring contractor performance.
The ability to work well within a multi-disciplined team.
The ability to produce works specifications to obtain quotations on a competitive basis.
The proven ability to successfully manage your own workloads and deliver works on time and within budgets
