A leading MEP contractor is seeking a skilled Electrical Manager to lead the electrical delivery of a major commercial office block development. From design through to commissioning, you’ll take ownership of on-site electrical operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient project execution.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong technical background and the ability to drive performance on-site.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate all electrical works on a large-scale commercial project, from concept to completion.
*
Supervise on-site electrical teams and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered on time and to spec.
*
Ensure full compliance with RAMS, Health & Safety, and Electrical Safe Systems of Work procedures.
*
Complete accurate take-offs for electrical infrastructure materials: containment, SWA, busbar, lighting, panels, etc.
*
Monitor and report on programme progress, production, and quality.
*
Lead QA inspections and drive commissioning processes to the highest industry standards.
*
Proactively identify risks, defects, or delays, and take corrective action.
*
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider site team.
*
Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings as required.
*
Report weekly to the Contracts and Project Managers.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager or similar role on large commercial developments.
*
ECS Gold Card or Managers Card.
*
SMSTS and up-to-date First Aid certification.
*
Testing qualification (e.g., C&G 2391) desirable.
*
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, construction sequencing, risk assessments, commissioning, and handover.
*
Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
*
Experience managing subcontractors and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary site team.
*
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
*
Solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and electrical Safe Systems of Work.
