Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester.
This is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years.
A position has arisen within Production Engineering Department for an Electrical Production Engineer.
365 Resourcing are the preferred supplier working on behalf of Mazak.
Job Description:
* Technical support all production departments on electrical systems.
* Provide technical support quickly to resolving machine breakdowns and line stoppages.
* Electrically Test & validate of new machine options including functional checking.
* Preparing modification requests for the design changes (Electrical circuit & loom harness).
* Preparation of electrical assembly process documents & check sheets.
* Preparing modification requests for the design changes.
* Test & evaluate of new machines including functional checking.
* The specification, design & commissioning of test rigs.
* Identifying risks and implementing safety improvements
* Technical support to the Service & QA departments.
Essential Criteria:
Apprentice Trained in an electrical engineering discipline.
Qualified Electrical Engineer with a recognised electrical qualification – 18th Edition – HNC (Electrical Engineering).
Industrial Electrical Experience.
IT Literate in all Microsoft office Packages.
Self-motivation & good time management.
Good communication skills.
A sound grasp of electrical engineering principles.
Working well with people of all abilities.
Desirable Criteria:
An understanding of PLC’s.
Knowledge of inverter drive systems.
Ability to read & interpret electrical circuit drawings & ladder diagrams.
Fault finding skills using electrical diagnostics I/O & PLC.
Risk assessment & an appreciation of health & safety requirements.
Defining & documenting assembly procedures.
Project planning & project management.
Knowledge of electrical inspection & test methods.
Understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic systems to aid with fault finding.
An ability to make process & productivity improvements.
The ability to operate CNC machinery.
