Are you an Electrical Engineer passionate about delivering high-quality design solutions for large-scale automation and airport projects? This is an exciting opportunity to join a UK engineering team that collaborates closely with a global network of 800+ engineers across all automated handling disciplines.
You’ll work on key UK projects, gaining access to exceptional knowledge-sharing, structured support, and the chance to develop into a specialist managing multiple complex projects.
⭐ What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the full electrical design lifecycle for major automated handling systems. Your responsibilities will include:
• Reviewing order files and assessing project feasibility
• Planning and agreeing engineering activities with Project Leads
• Reporting design progress and resource utilisation
• Collaborating across disciplines on electrical components and interfaces
• Designing and specifying complete electrical control installations (cabinets, field wiring, power distribution, trunking, supports)
• Producing power, cable, and selectivity calculations
• Creating control drawings and documentation for manufacturing, installation, and procurement teams
• Ensuring compliance with all procedures, standards, and regulations
• Overseeing data management and quality control
• Producing engineering instructions and contributing to continuous improvement
• Engaging with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors during project phases.
This is not a fully remote role—some on-site presence is required during installation phases.
🎯 What you’ll bring:
We’re looking for someone who is methodical, structured, and thrives in a friendly, organised engineering environment.
You will ideally have:
• Experience designing electrical systems for industrial or low-voltage installations
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and EPLAN
• A background in electro-technology / energy technology
• Knowledge of ProfiNet, ASi Bus, Profibus
• Understanding of electrical equipment and technologies used in material handling systems
