Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with a passion for delivering critical infrastructure projects in complex, high-demand environments? We're seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead key capital and infrastructure upgrades within a large-scale Food Manufacturing site.
You'll be at the forefront of planning and executing HV/LV electrical projects, including the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of substations and power distribution systems, working within the Civils and Infrastructure team to ensure seamless integration of electrical assets into wider site developments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage electrical infrastructure projects (HV/LV) from concept through to commissioning.
* Oversee the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of Electrical substations, transformers, switchgear, and LV distribution systems.
* Coordinate with civil engineers and contractors to align electrical design with structural and groundworks requirements.
* Ensure projects meet compliance standards, site safety policies, and food manufacturing regulations.
* Work with procurement and suppliers to select appropriate electrical components and systems.
* Prepare technical documentation, risk assessments, and project schedules.
What We're Looking For:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
* Proven experience in HV/LV systems, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial infrastructure setting.
* Strong working knowledge of substations, power distribution, and electrical safety standards.
* Experience managing multidisciplinary projects and working alongside civil engineering teams.
* Knowledge of food industry standards is a plus but not essential.
* Excellent stakeholder and contractor management, budgeting and project planning skills.
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations and HSE best practices.
