Job Title: Electrical Project Manager
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 + Package
Location: Belvedere(Office-based 85% / Site-based 15%)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team in Belvedere. This role involves working closely with the existing Project Manager to deliver a range of electrical installation and control system projects across London and the Home Counties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, generators, and control panel design, with the ability to manage projects from quotation to completion.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare quotations and project costings for electrical works.
Produce technical documentation, including cable schedules, I/O schedules, and termination sheets.
Develop and maintain risk assessments and method statements.
Design bespoke electrical control panels and manage their installation.
Coordinate and book site operatives for inductions and project tasks.
Oversee and support electrical installations, including fuel systems, generators, generator controllers, and containment works.
Manage cabling installation, terminations, and connections on site.
Conduct and witness electrical testing, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
Carry out wiring modifications and switchboard alterations on fuel and PLC systems.
Supervise testing and commissioning of generators, controllers, and fuel systems, ensuring compliance with client specifications.
Arrange and manage subcontractors, approve invoices, and oversee additional works as required.
Provide on-site technical support, sign-offs, and client training as needed.
Support and mentor apprentices in electrical installation and generator operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager within the construction or engineering sector.
Strong understanding of control panels, generator systems, and PLC control.
Sound knowledge of electrical principles, wiring practices, and testing procedures.
Familiarity with relevant electrical standards, health & safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.
Strong attention to detail with a hands-on, problem-solving approach.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
