Electrical Service Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £47,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Brentwood, Essex
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Our client is a leading provider of engineering and maintenance services to the heavy industrial and power generation sectors across the UK. They are seeking an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join their team.
This role will involve a mix of electrical maintenance, repair, fault finding, and installation work on industrial systems. The position is primarily field-based, supporting customers within an hour of Brentwood, with occasional overnight stays and workshop duties when required.
Benefits:
Competitive salary between £35,000 and £47,000 depending on experience
Uncapped overtime available

Government pension schemeKey Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair electrical faults in commercial and heavy industrial systems
Perform fault finding, rewiring, and electrical maintenance
Conduct routine inspection and testing of electrical systems
Install and commission equipment in accordance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Support project work, plant shutdowns, and planned outages
Carry out workshop-based tasks in Brentwood when requiredSkills and Experience Required:
Time-served Electrical Apprenticeship (Indentured preferred)
Proven experience in electrical fault finding, repair, installation, and commissioning
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience in heavy engineering, industrial maintenance, or power generation
Good understanding of IEE Wiring Regulations
City & Guilds 2360, 2382 (18th Edition), and 2391 Inspection and Testing qualifications essential
Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems
Physically fit, flexible, and positive attitude to work
Must have the right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)Keywords:
