Job Description

HV Shift Lead Location: Central London Salary: £60,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Continental Shift (7-7 - Days & Nights) Environment: High-End Commercial Office Space HV Shift Lead - Prestigious Central London Site Are you a qualified and experienced HV Authorised Person looking for a leadership role on a flagship site? The Role: Working on a continental shift pattern, you will be responsible for the operational management of all M&E services during your shift. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out High Voltage (HV) switching operations, isolations, and the implementation of safe systems of work. Issuing permits-to-work, switching schedules, and acting as the senior engineering authority on site. Leading the shift team in responding to all plant failures, emergencies, and critical alarms. Overseeing the completion of planned and reactive maintenance on critical plant, including UPS systems, generators, chillers, CRAC units, and building management systems (BMS). Managing specialist sub-contractors and ensuring their full adherence to site health and safety procedures. Maintaining detailed shift logs, producing incident reports, and ensuring a smooth and comprehensive handover to the incoming shift. Essential Requirements: Must hold a current and valid HV Authorised Person (AP) ticket / certification. Applications without this cannot be considered. Proven experience as a Shift Lead or Senior Engineer in a critical environment (e.g., corporate banking, data centre, large commercial building). A recognised electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent). Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
