Electrical Site Manager – Manchester

Permanent Position | Major New Build Residential Development

A leading Tier 1 M&E contractor is looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join their team on a major new build residential development in Manchester.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Electrical Site Manager with a strong building services / M&E background to join a well-established contractor working on a high-profile development.

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of the electrical package on site, ensuring works are completed safely, to programme and to a high standard.

Key responsibilities will include:

  * Managing electrical installation works and subcontractors

  * Supervising site teams and labour

  * Coordinating electrical works with other M&E trades and the wider construction team

  * Monitoring programme, progress and quality

  * Reviewing drawings, specifications and RAMS

  * Liaising with Project Managers, engineers, subcontractors and the main contractor

  * Ensuring health & safety and quality standards are maintained

  * Attending site meetings and providing progress updates

  * Assisting with commissioning, snagging and handover

The Ideal Candidate

  * Previous experience as an Electrical Site Manager / Electrical Supervisor

  * Strong building services / M&E background

  * Experience working on large-scale residential, apartment, student accommodation or similar developments

  * Good understanding of electrical installations and construction processes

  * Confident managing subcontractors and site teams

  * Able to read and interpret electrical drawings

  * Strong knowledge of health & safety and site procedures

  * SMSTS

  * ECS / JIB or relevant electrical qualification

Relevant experience on major new build projects is essential.
