Electrical Site Manager – Chilled Warehouse Project (Durham)
Location: Durham, UK (Accommodation Provided for Non-Local Candidates)
Contract Type: Freelance (Approx. 6 Months)
Day Rate: Competitive (DOE)
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity:
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected Electrical Contractor for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead a £2.5 million chilled warehouse project in Durham. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a technically interesting project with the support of a visiting Contracts Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day site operations and electrical installation activities
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site labour
* Ensure all works are carried out in line with Health & Safety regulations
* Liaise with the Contracts Manager and report on progress, issues, and milestones
* Maintain site records, RAMS, and ensure quality standards are met
* Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and regular inspections
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience managing electrical packages on commercial/industrial projects
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, ideally within chilled or temperature-controlled environments
* SMSTS or SSSTS, ECS/CSCS card, and First Aid certification
* Excellent communication and leadership skills
* Ability to work independently and drive the project forward
