Job Summary:
My client have been awarded a contract to deliver the build of a 5MW solar farm close to the M4 corridor . The project scope incorporates all civils and electrical works including; mechanical, modules, Inverters, substations, LV&HV cabling.They require electrical supervisors to deliver the soar farm project.
The role involves managing electrical technicians/labour, ensuring safety compliance, troubleshooting system issues, and maintaining the highest-quality standards throughout the installation process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure all electrical work complies with electrical codes and regulations.
Maintain a safe working environment by following safety methods and controls, conducting safety briefings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
o Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn and safety measures are observed during installation and build
Supervision and Leadership:
o Oversee a team of electricians and technicians during the installation of electrical solar, PV farm.
o Assign tasks, set work priorities, and ensure projects are completed within deadlines.
o Monitor the quality of work, ensuring it meets electrical codes, safety standards, and project specifications.
o Qualified supervision role.
Job Description - Electrical Supervisor
o Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to plan and execute electrical installations, isolation and controls.
o Provide feedback on project timelines, labour requirements, and technical issues.
o Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on work progress, material usage, and any issues faced.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
• Education:
o A NVQ level 2 or higher electrical qualification. • Experience:
o At least 5 years of experience in electrical work, with a focus on utility scale energy systems.
o Prior experience as an electrical technician, electrician, or supervisor in the renewable energy industry is highly preferred.
Solar or wind farm experience preferred
• Skills:
o ECS Gold Card
o Strong knowledge of electrical standards, safety standards, and regulations. o Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams and schematics.
o Hands-on experience with solar inverters, battery systems, lv panels, wiring, and electrical connections.
o Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o Testing and fault identification. • Certifications:
o NVQ level 3, Level 3 Diploma, AM2 o ECS Gold Card
o 18th Edition Regulations
o Inspection and Testing BS(Apply online only)
