Job Description

Electrical Supervisor – Education Sector (Retrofit Projects)

We’re supporting a reputable contractor delivering refurbishment works within live educational environments, who is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee on-site delivery.

This role suits someone confident managing teams in occupied buildings, with a strong focus on safety, coordination, and quality.

Working Hours

  * OOH working hours Monday to Friday (4pm till 1am)

  * Overtime available where required

Key Duties

  * Enforce Health & Safety procedures, including RAMS briefings and PPE compliance

  * Supervise operatives, subcontractors, and site activities

  * Ensure safe handling and isolation of electrical systems

  * Coordinate materials, plant, and workflow to meet programme

  * Monitor quality of installation and overall site standards

  * Maintain clear emergency routes and safe working environment

  * Manage site access, including sign-in/out and end-of-shift security

  * Liaise with the Project Manager to resolve technical or design issues

  * Act as main on-site contact for stakeholders

  * Provide regular progress updates and report incidents

  * Maintain site records including diaries, permits, and weekly reports

  * Ensure work areas are protected, clean, and operational after each shift

Project Scope

  * Electrical and fire alarm rewire

  * Installation of suspended ceilings

  * Associated builders’ works and making good

Requirements

  * Enhanced DBS (no unspent convictions)

  * Black CSCS Card

  * First Aid at Work

  * NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

  * Proven experience supervising electrical works, ideally in live environments
