Job Description
Our client is one of the largest facilities management and maintenance contractors in the UK, offering market leading opportunities for talented professionals looking for long term career progression.
We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor who wants to work in a diverse role where no two days are the same.
As the Electrical Supervisor, you will provide the delivery of both planned and reactive FM maintenance services.
Due to an increase in upcoming projects, there is now a need for an Electrical Supervisor to join this highly successful and forward-thinking organisation.
The Electrical Supervisor, will be responsible for:
* Supervise and delegate tasks to maintenance and engineering teams.
* Monitor and ensure timely completion of planned and reactive maintenance.
* Conduct team briefings, toolbox talks, and support staff training.
* Carry out hands-on maintenance and minor repair work when required.
* Oversee the quality and completion of work carried out by staff and subcontractors.
* Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
* Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
* Manage procurement of tools, materials, and equipment for maintenance tasks.
* Maintain accurate service records, job sheets, and compliance documentation.
* Support performance reviews and development of maintenance team members.
* Use maintenance software systems to manage tasks and monitor KPIs.
* Ensure high standards of housekeeping in all plant and work areas.
* Provide estimates for minor additional works and report to management.
* Be available for out-of-hours work as required by operational needs.
To be successful for this Electrical Supervisor role you must have:
* Recognised trade electrical qualification.
* Up-to-date knowledge of BS7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations.
* Health & Safety certification (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a supervisory maintenance role.
* Strong understanding of planned and reactive maintenance procedures.
* Ability to manage and coordinate a team effectively.
* Confident in communicating with both team members and clients.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
* Good working knowledge of maintenance management systems (e.g. CAFM).
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
* Willingness to work outside normal hours when required.
* Full, clean driving licence.
