Electrical Technician/Fitter required
Department: Service & Maintenance/ Quality
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 39/40 hours per week
Salary: ·£35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Overview
We are looking for a committed and engaged Electrical Technician to join our expanding team.
The role involves installing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems on heavy trailers in line with specifications and safety standards.
Duties
· Install wiring looms, lighting systems, beacons, and electrical controls on trailers
· Fit batteries, junction boxes, relays, sensors, and sockets
· Work from wiring diagrams and technical drawings
· Test all circuits and electrical components before handover
· Troubleshoot, fix and repair electrical faults and wiring
· Ensure work complies with IVA standards and road safety regulations
· Maintain a clean and safe workspace
· Collaborate with other departments (e.g., pneumatic, hydraulic) during the build process
· Work safely and complete site-specific risk assessments prior to starting work.
Requirements
· Experience fitting or wiring vehicle or trailer electrics
· Ability to read and work from wiring diagrams
· Familiar with 12V and 24V systems
· Basic fault-finding and diagnostic ability
· Use of crimping tools, soldering, and multi-meters
· Understanding of health and safety practices.
