Electrical Technician - Aerolux Ltd (recruiting exclusively via RPS Recruitment)
Aerolux Ltd, part of Zoppas Industries, is a long-established and trusted name in aerospace manufacturing and repair. With over 35 years of heritage and a reputation for precision-built galley and cabin equipment, Aerolux is entering an exciting new growth phase - set to triple in size over the next three years. As part of this expansion, Aerolux is looking to appoint an Electrical Technician to join its team at the company’s CAA-approved manufacturing facility in Blackpool.
Operating under both CAA Part 21 manufacturing and Part 145 repair approvals, Aerolux designs, manufactures, and services a range of galley insert equipment including ovens, beverage makers, coffee machines, refrigerators, and service carts. This is a hands-on production role, ideal for someone who takes pride in high-quality electrical work and precision assembly.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, professional team committed to engineering excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. The role suits someone with a strong electrical or electronics background - ideally from aerospace, manufacturing, or related industries. Training and support will be provided to help you succeed and progress as the company grows.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble and terminate wiring looms and harnesses
• Solder and fit components to printed circuit boards (PCBs)
• Perform functional and electrical testing in line with Acceptance Test Reports (ATRs)
• Fault find, diagnose, and rectify electrical issues
• Carry out wiring from electrical drawings and parts kits
• Complete final electrical checks before power-on
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
Key Requirements:
• Solid understanding of electrical or electronic systems
• Experience in aerospace or precision electrical assembly advantageous
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Team-oriented with good communication skills
• Qualified to HNC, ONC, City & Guilds, or equivalent
Working Hours:
• 37.5 hours per week
• Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:30 | Friday: 08:00–13:30
