We are supporting a global technology leader in their search for a Electrical Technician to join their technical operations team. This is a permanent role offering a mix of hands-on commissioning work, fault finding, and support for installations both on-site and occasionally at customer locations.
As Electrical Technician, you’ll assemble and test advanced electro-mechanical machinery, ensuring systems meet the highest safety and quality standards. You’ll work from detailed engineering drawings and schematics, support product improvements for R&D, and assist with occasional field installations across the UK and abroad.
This role would suit an experienced Technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills, commissioning experience, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
Core duties include:
Electrical and mechanical assembly and testing of equipment
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics
Performing commissioning tasks including adjustments, fault finding and documentation
Supporting the R&D team with prototype testing and product feedback
Participating in installation activities at customer sites alongside installation teams
Upholding safe working practices and adherence to company proceduresAbout you:
Level 3 Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent qualification
18th/17th Edition Electrical Certification required
Solid experience in electrical commissioning, including low voltage systems and fault finding
Familiarity with PLC systems
Strong multi-skilled engineering knowledge – electrical, mechanical, and electronic
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and ExcelHours are Monday to Friday, 7am to 3pm (12pm on Friday). Benefits include enhanced pension and free lunches!
