A respected, family-owned engineering business in Leeds is looking for an experienced Electrical Testing Engineer to join its high-performing Operations team. The Role

Reporting to the Senior Testing Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of electrical power products — both in-house and on customer sites. Key responsibilities include:

  * 

    In-house testing of transformers, marshalling enclosures and control panels

  * 

    Testing LV cabinets and control devices

  * 

    Carrying out protection modifications

  * 

    Fault-finding and problem-solving to a high technical standard

  * 

    Supporting the delivery of high-quality, safe and compliant products

Knowledge & Experience Required

  * 

    Proven experience testing

  * 

    Electrical qualifications and strong knowledge of electrical regulations (essential)

  * 

    Ability to confidently read and interpret electrical schematic drawings

  * 

    Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Risk Assessment practices

  * 

    Excellent communication skills and a collaborative working style

  * 

    Experience in continuous improvement or lean environments (advantageous)

  * 

    Methodical, detail-focused and able to work to high technical standards

  * 

    Flexible approach with the willingness to support other departments when needed
