Job Description
Position: 2391 Electrical Tester
Project: Commercial Residential Development
Location: Winchester on approach road. Not Central
Contract Type: [Permanent / Contract]
Hours: [e.g., Monday–Friday, 42.5 hours/week]
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Tester with a valid 2391 Inspection & Testing qualification (or equivalent, e.g., 2394/2395) to carry out electrical testing and certification on a large commercial residential project. The role involves inspecting, testing, and verifying electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations (BS7671).
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Fault finding
*
Ensure compliance with all current IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).
*
Liaise with site managers, supervisors, and other trades to coordinate works.
*
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
*
Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.
Requirements:
✅ City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Inspection & Testing qualification (essential).
✅ NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
✅ Valid ECS/JIB Gold Card (preferred).
✅ Proven experience testing in a commercial residential environment.
✅ Good knowledge of inspection procedures and certificationBefore You Apply
