Job Description
Electrical Tester & Maintenance Engineer | Taunton & Surrounding Areas | Commercial Environments | Paid Weekly | £46,500 Base | OTE: £55K - £65K.
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Tester & Maintenance Engineer to work on a mobile basis around Taunton and surrounding areas. You will be working across commercial environments including pubs, restaurants, dental practises, care homes, nurseries, hotels etc.
As an Electrical Tester, your duties will involve electrical maintenance and testing works including EICRs, fixed wire testing, electrical fault finding, wiring, power distribution, transformers, lighting (lamps, ballasts, decorative lighting, safety / emergency lighting, security lighting, LED upgrades etc).
Role / Package Summary:
* Job Title: Electrical Tester / Maintenance Electrician.
* Location: Taunton & Surrounding Areas (Up to 50 mile radius).
* Status: Permanent, PAYE position – Paid Weekly.
* Base Salary: £46,500 for standard hours not including overtime, call out etc.
* Estimated annual earnings: £55,000 – £65,000.
* D2D travel paid after 30 minutes each way.
* Overtime rates: x1.5 rate for travel time / x2 rate for on-site hours.
* Call out rota: 1 in 6 weeks. Standby allowance + D2D at overtime rates per call out.
* Hours: 07:00am – 5:30pm including travel. Site hours estimated 8am-4:30pm.
* Provided: Company van (business use), fuel card, uniform, phone etc.
* Company pension contribution.
* Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays.
* Company funded courses, training and up-skilling.
* Environments: Commercial - Pubs, Bars, Restaurants, Retail Stores, Nurseries, Care Homes, Dental Practises and Hotels etc.
* Works: Electrical Testing: EICR, fixed wire testing, emergency light testing. Electrical maintenance: lamps, ballasts, decorative lighting, safety / emergency lighting, security lighting, LED upgrades etc. power distribution, transformers, electrical components within HVAC / building services equipment.
Requirements:
* Must be a qualified Electrician (ie: NVQ Level 3 / C&G 2330 Level 3 / C&G 2360 Part 2 or equivalent to these qualifications).
* Must hold testing and inspection, City and Guilds 2391 certificate / qualification/
* Must have a UK driving license with under 9 points.
