Fixed Wire Test Engineer – Portsmouth | £42.5k + Bonus + Van | Home Most Nights
Looking for a role where you can earn well without living on the road? Join a team that keeps you local to Portsmouth, pays a solid £42.5k basic, and gives you the option to push for £55–60k with OT and bonus if you want it.
The Package
*
£42,519 basic salary (40 hrs/week).
*
Average £55–60k with OT & bonus – but it’s optional, not expected.
*
Van (personal use allowed), fuel card, all kit & uniform.
*
Paid travel time + expenses covered.
*
31 days’ holiday (incl. bank holidays).
*

The Role
*
Carrying out fixed wire testing (EICRs) and small remedials.
*
Emergency lighting, fire alarm testing, thermal imaging.
*
Simple reporting via cloud software.
*
One-stage interview, quick feedback.
You’ll Need
*
NVQ Level 3 + AM2.
*
Fixed wire testing experience.
*
18th Edition / 2391 desirable (not essential).
*
A full UK driving licence (held for 2+ years, max 6 points).
*
A DBS check (or willing to complete one).
