We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Electrician to join our valued client, a leading Construction company based in Peterborough.
The job will involve electrical works on a wide variety of different projects. These projects will include public sector, health sector, educational sector, retail, social housing, government buildings, prisons, police stations, care homes, undertaking repairs, breakdowns and installation works.
They work nationwide, so there may be occasions where you are expected to travel to further out sites and stay away as and when required.
Main Responsibilites
* All aspects associated with a qualified NVQ Level 3 electrician.
* Undertaking required training and information gathering to support any updates or changes to regulations.
* Developing positive relationships with your colleagues, their clients and all other site operatives.
* Collaborate with the team to deliver outstanding results on time and within budget.
* Demonstrate good knowledge/understanding of the contract design and construction drawings.
* Identify and implement improvements to any aspect of the service that's provided.
* Regular use of their computer systems and other software packages.
* Adhere to current Health & Safety legislation and undertake works in accordance with safe working practices.
* Report any issues or concerns to your manager or supervisor in respect to the project or task you are working on to ensure there are no delays in completion so as not to encounter any contract penalty clauses.
Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations including AM2 (or equivalent).
* Up to date 18th Edition Qualification.
* C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing – desirable but not essential.
* Experience working within a similar environment - commercial, industrial and domestic experience.
* Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or SMSTS.
* Competent in the use of a range of IT packages.
* Self-motivated and proactive.
* Positive attitude and the ability to integrate and be an active part in the team.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines
* Keen to pursue personal development needs and maintain up to date knowledge.
* Willingness to undertake training programmes as deemed necessary by the Company.
* A full current UK driving licence and have had at least 6 months driving experience since passing your test.
* A DBS is required for this role due to the sensitive nature of some of our clients work, so must either have one in place or willing to be put through one.
