Trade Recruit are proudly representing a well-established and reputable electrical contracting company with a strong presence across the Midlands region. Our client has built a trusted name in delivering high-quality electrical, solar, and EV installation projects for domestic, commercial, and industrial clients. They are now looking to expand their skilled team with an experienced and motivated Electrician / Electrical Engineer / Solar & EV Installer.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of electrical installation, maintenance, and testing work, with a focus on solar PV systems, EV charging points, and general electrical services. This is a field-based role, working on various projects within a 30–50-mile radius of Corby.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, professional team that takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in domestic, commercial, and light industrial environments.
* Install, commission, and maintain solar PV systems and EV charging points to industry standards.
* Conduct periodic inspection and testing in line with BS7671 (18th Edition).
* Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company procedures.
* Liaise with clients and site managers to ensure smooth project delivery and clear communication.
* Complete all required documentation, test certificates, and reports accurately.
* Maintain company-provided equipment, tools, and vehicles in good working order.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Essential:
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
* AM2 qualification.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and testing.
* Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification
Desirable:
* 2391 (Inspection & Testing) qualification.
* Experience with solar PV and EV charger installations.
* ECS / JIB Gold Card.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
