Job Description

Hays are currently recruiting for a Domestic Electrician to join the facilities maintenance team at HMP Styal, Wilmslow.This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering long-term stability and the chance to secure a permanent role within a well-established maintenance contract.

The Role

Working within a secure prison environment, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the establishment.Key duties include:

Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
Reactive electrical repairs
Fault-finding and diagnostics
Testing and inspection of electrical systems
Maintenance of lighting, power and building services
Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations
Supporting wider FM maintenance activities where requiredWorking Pattern

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Experience within maintenance or facilities management environments
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
Ability to pass prison security clearanceBenefits
