Job Description
Job Title: Site Electrician (Temp-to-Perm)

Contract: £36,000 per annum
*
Permanent: Up to £42,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
*
Mon–Thurs: 07:00–15:00
*
Fri: 07:00–12:00
Contract Type: Initially Temporary (Contractor), with a view to Permanent later in the year
Benefits: Standard company benefits package upon permanent appointment
About the Role:
We are looking to recruit a qualified Site Electrician to join our team as a long-term replacement for our current site electrician, who is planning to retire later this year.
To ensure a smooth transition, the successful candidate will initially join us on a contractor basis, working alongside our current electrician to gain hands-on site knowledge and understand our systems. The position will then move to a permanent role later in the year, subject to mutual fit.
This approach offers both the opportunity for the candidate to ensure the role suits them, and for us to assess alignment with our team and operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Electrical fault finding, diagnosis, and repair
*
Electrical installation work, including both upgrades and new projects
*
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
*
Working with older-style installations and adapting to legacy systems
*
Ensuring compliance with current and previous electrical installation regulations
*
Working at height using scissor lifts or cherry pickers (regular requirement)
Requirements:
*
Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
*
Experience working in a facilities or site-based environment
*
Solid understanding of both current and historical electrical regulations
*
Comfortable working on older installations
*
Strong problem-solving skills for fault finding and maintenance
*
IPAF licence preferred (essential for working at height)
