Job Title: Electrician
Salary: £22 per hour
Contract: Temp-Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday
Purpose of the Role
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to carry out safe and effective electrical work—covering repairs, installations, servicing, and inspection & testing—across a wide range of housing stock. You'll be helping maintain properties to a high standard while delivering outstanding customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Carry out safe electrical works on time and to a high standard, ensuring compliance with BS7671.
Effectively identify and repair faults, rewire domestic systems, and deliver work in line with internal standards.
Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues to keep all parties informed of work progress.
Refer complex issues to senior staff as needed.
Set out jobs from drawings/specifications, requisition materials, and test completed systems.
Deliver full electrical works in kitchens, bathrooms, and complete property rewires (occupied and void properties).
Participate in out-of-hours emergency call-out rota as required.
Maintain a clean and roadworthy company vehicle, carrying out safety checks and reporting defects.
Support apprentices and trainees as needed.
Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role.Requirements & Qualifications
Essential:
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work or equivalent
City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 / 2330 Level 2 & 3 / 2351 / Approved equivalent
City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing) or AM2 assessment
BS:7671 (18th Edition) compliant
Previous training via registered apprenticeship or equivalent route
Practical experience in fault finding, testing, and commissioning of installations
Full UK driving licence
Ability to travel efficiently, including to areas not served by public transport
Good IT skills and excellent customer service skillsDesirable:
City & Guilds 2394 or 2395 (Initial Verification, Certification, Periodic Inspection & Testing)Benefits
