Job Title: Electrician
Location: Bracknell
Salary: £23.50 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday) About the Role
We’re looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will undertake a variety of electrical works including repairs, installations, servicing, inspection, and testing across a housing stock. Your work will help ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and meet high standards — all while delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities
Carry out safe and compliant electrical works on time and within priorities, aiming for first-time fixes.
Diagnose and repair faults, rewire domestic systems to required standards.
Communicate with customers and staff to provide updates and manage expectations.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation and BS7671 standards.
Interpret drawings/specifications and requisition materials as required.
Support planned maintenance projects, including kitchen and bathroom works, as well as full rewires.
Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota.
Maintain a company vehicle and report any defects.
Assist in the development and training of apprentices and trainees.
Perform any other duties appropriate to the role.What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
AM2-qualified Electrician with relevant experience in social housing or domestic electrical work.
City & Guilds 2391, and either:
City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2,
or 2351 or 2330 Levels 2 & 3,
or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work (or equivalent).
Experience working to the current edition of BS7671.
Competence in inspection, testing, and commissioning of installations.
Full UK Driving Licence with the ability to travel to various locations (often not covered by public transport).
Good IT skills and a customer-focused approach. Desirable:
