Job Description
GBR Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for an Electricians Mate on behalf of M&E contracting business.
As the Electrician's Mate you will primarily work alongside a fully qualified Electrician, assisting with various tasks involved in electrical installations, electrical modifications, electrical maintenance, and electrical repairs, within a new retail store fit out, with the project estimated to last 10-12 weeks (approx.), working within the Perth area of Scotland.
This Electricians Mate role, will be working for a quality focused M&E building services business, delivering a high-end retail fit out for a major well-known retailer that has sites UK wide.
Duties include:
* Providing support to Electrician’s during installations
* Running cables and wiring
* Installing containment systems like conduit, tray, and trunking.
* Assisting in basic testing of electrical systems and fault finding
* Assembling and disassembling electrical components
* Ensuring compliance with safety regulations
* Keeping the work area clean and organised
* General labouring type tasks
Experience & Qualifications:
* Experience as an Electricians Mate.
* A valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card or an ECS Card.
* CIS Registered (Self employed / limited company / sole trader).
* Green CSCS Labourer Card.
* Understanding the relevant safety standards and regulations for electrical works.
* Fundamental understanding of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety protocols.
* The ability to carefully identify electrical faults.
* Level 2 2365 diploma would be an added advantage, but it isn’t needed.
This role would suit someone living in Perth, Kinross, Dunfermline, Dundee, Glenrothes, Stirling, Cupar, Dunblane, Alloa, Kirkcaldy and other areas close to Perth.
This position could suit someone working as an Electrical Improver, Electrical Labourer, Apprentice Electrician, Part Qualified Electrician or Assistant ElectricianBefore You Apply
