Design Engineer – Exciting Opportunity with a Market-Leading Organisation
X4 Group are proud to be partnering with a well-established global systems integrator who are expanding their engineering team.
We’re seeking a talented Design Engineer to collaborate with project and engineering teams, producing high-quality electrical and mechanical drawings that support complex, world-class maritime projects.
What you’ll be doing:
* Developing design concepts from first principles
* Producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings to ISO standards
* Supporting electrical and mechanical system designs, including enclosures, control panels, and 19” racks
* Using CAD tools (AutoCAD / SEE Electrical / ETAP) and advising on future software adoption
* Ensuring compliance with EU directives, BS7671 (18th edition), BS8888, EMC and LVD standards
What we’re looking for:
* HNC/HND, apprenticeship, or equivalent in electrical/mechanical design
* 5+ years’ experience in electrical/systems design (desirable)
* Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and manufacturing techniques
* Ability to produce refined, high-quality design outputs at pace
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail
* Eligible for SC Security Clearance
