Workshop & Site Based (approx. 60/40 split)
We’re recruiting for an experienced Electromechanical Fitter to join a specialist heavy engineering workshop in Sheffield.
This role involves stripping, inspecting, repairing and rebuilding large AC/DC motors and rotating equipment for industrial clients.
The Role:
* Disassembly and inspection of electric motors
* Bearing replacement (including white metal)
* Fault diagnosis and root cause analysis
* Basic electrical testing
* Reassembly and preparation for test
* Occasional site work and short stays away when required
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience with rotating equipment / motor repair
* Strong mechanical fitting background
* Able to read drawings and assess wear/damage
* Comfortable working both independently and in a team
* Flexible for occasional site work
* Overtime available.
