Job Title: Electronic Assembler
Location: Poole
Salary: £28k - £30k
Overview
We are working with a well-established manufacturing business specialising in safety-critical electronic systems. They are looking to bring in an experienced Electronic Assembler to support production, testing, and ongoing product development.
This is a hands-on role that goes beyond basic assembly — ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, understands systems, and is comfortable contributing technical insight where needed.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly of electronic components and systems, including wiring and soldering
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics
Carrying out functional testing and fault finding on assembled units
Supporting cause-and-effect assembly and system integration
Diagnosing and resolving faults to component level where possible
Testing of incoming warranty products which could include fire alarm panels, detectors and electronics and completing the required paperwork that comes with it
The warranty returns process and returns documentations- to log the process from return to testing to cause and preventative actions
Technical help and queries from customers- they would be expected once they have learned the products we have to help answer a technical question and provide installation help on the products
Stock Control and Cycle Counts maintenance- part of this role at the moment is regular oversight of stock control
Commissioning- if required to fill in for local service and commissioning visitsKey Skills & Experience
Previous experience in electronic assembly or a similar role
Strong wiring and soldering skills
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics
Experience with testing and fault finding
A methodical and problem-solving mindset
Confident communicating technical information to colleagues
Any experience with system-level assembly or integration is advantageousWorking Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:30 – 17:00
Friday: 08:30 – 16:00
