Roles and Responsibilities:
Reverse engineering old designs and designing new iterations.
Design and development of devices and associated technologies.
Design and validate the next generation of products with a focus on manufacturability and BOM cost.
Reduce the BOM cost of the existing product through component choice and leveraging of supply chain.
Improve the manufacturability of products to reduce assembly and calibration time.
Improve the serviceability of the product to simplify service callouts
Improve the reliability of the productRequirements
Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Background within regulated sectors such as medical, automotive, aerospace, or similar environments desirable
Modern PSU design, high power RF generation, power factor correction, embedded microcontrollers and wired communications
EMC compliance, fault-tolerant product design, validation and verification of electronics and embedded software, and test jig development
Working with UK and overseas contract manufacturers, hand soldering/rework, PCB design (Altium and Proteus), 60601 compliance documentation, and lab report writing28449/510
