Job Title: Electronic Design Engineer
Location: Gloucester (On-Site - 4 Days Per Week)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus & Benefits (Depending on Experience)

Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Electronic Design Engineer to join our client's growing engineering team, working on the design and development of innovative Control & Test Systems for a range of challenging engineering applications.
The role covers the full product development lifecycle, from concept, PCB design and prototyping through to testing, manufacture, deployment, and ongoing support.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of industry experience outside of university. However, we are happy to consider candidates who have completed a Sandwich Degree with a year in industry as part of their studies.
Job Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and support electronic circuits and systems for new and existing products.
Create and maintain PCB schematics and layouts using Altium Designer.
Select electronic components and manage libraries, footprints, and design records.
Support prototype assembly, board bring-up, testing, validation, and fault diagnosis using laboratory test equipment.
Contribute to Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) activities.
Produce and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, and test procedures.
Work closely with software, firmware, mechanical engineers, and external PCB suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of electronic design, engineering processes, and documentation. Required Skills & Experience:
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
Understanding of core analogue and digital electronic design principles.
Knowledge of PCB design and layout, including, EMC, signal integrity, etc.
Experience with PCB schematic capture and layout (Ideally with Altium Designer but not essential)
Ability to interpret component datasheets and select suitable components for specific applications.
Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment and applying hardware debugging techniques.
Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical and detail-oriented approach.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering teamDo not include the following in your job application, CV, or cover letter:
