Job Title: Electronics Engineer
 Location: Greater Manchester
 Salary: Up to £50k (DOE)
   
 This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a skilled engineering team.
 You will diagnose, test and repair a wide range of electronic systems, PCBs and assemblies down to component level. This is a hands-on role requiring strong practical electronics fault-finding skills.
   
 About the Role
  
Diagnose and repair faults on electronic PCBs and assemblies down to component level. 
Carry out detailed fault-finding using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic probes and other electronic test equipment. 
Inspect incoming equipment and produce detailed condition assessment reports. 
Replace and rework surface-mount (SMD) and through-hole components to appropriate IPC standards. 
Test and validate repaired equipment to ensure it meets required performance and quality standards. 
Produce clear and concise engineering reports covering diagnostics, repairs and test results. 
Maintain accurate repair records and ensure full traceability in line with customer and company requirements. 
Interpret circuit diagrams, technical documentation and component datasheets. 
Work closely with engineering and operational teams to resolve complex technical issues. 
Follow appropriate health and safety and quality procedures within a workshop environment.    
 About You
  
Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. 
Proven experience in electronics fault finding and repair down to component level. 
Strong practical knowledge of electronic circuits and hardware. 
Experience diagnosing faults using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers/probes and other test equipment. 
Strong SMD and through-hole soldering and rework skills. 
Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, circuit diagrams and technical documentation. 
Comfortable diagnosing faults where schematics or documentation may be limited. 
Good written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear technical reports. 
Ability to work independently, manage workload effectively and contribute within a wider engineering team. 
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 or similar electronics workmanship standards.
