Electronic Test Operative
Do you have experience or training in communications product testing or electronics product testing? Are you ambitious and would relish the opportunity to grow your career in a high-technology engineering company? If the answer is ‘yes’ to these questions then we would love to hear from you.Our client near Peterborough are currently recruiting for additional Test Operatives to be responsible for testing, inspecting, and verifying the performance and quality of radio communication equipment. This role ensures all products meet technical specifications, regulatory standards, and customer requirements before dispatch.
Job Responsibilities
Carry out functional and performance testing on radio communication equipment.
Use test equipment to Interpret test results, diagnose faults, and perform basic rework or adjustments when required.
Follow detailed test procedures, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings accurately.
Record and maintain test data, ensuring traceability and accuracy of documentation.
Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve quality or technical issues.
Assist with calibration, setup, and maintenance of test equipment.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) regulations.
Support continuous improvement activities to enhance testing efficiency and product quality.
Person Specification
Qualification in Electronics advantageous, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Experience testing or assembling RF, radio, or electronic products preferred.
Understanding of RF principles, radio frequency measurements, and electronic testing methods.
Competent in using standard electronic test and measurement instruments.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work accurately with attention to detail in a production environment.
Basic computer literacy (for data logging and reporting).
Proactive approach to quality and continuous improvement. Hours of Work and Pay·
