Job Description
Job Title: Electronics Design Engineer
Duration: 6 Months Rolling
Location: Yeovil (On Site)
Rate: Negotiable on experience (Outside IR35)
Role Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Electronics Design Engineer to develop IoT-enabled compliance hardware. The role focuses on circuit and PCB design, prototyping, and compliance testing, while working closely with firmware and mechanical teams to deliver reliable, production-ready products.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop electronic circuits, PCBs, and power systems.
* Produce schematics, layouts, BOMs, and test documentation.
* Integrate wireless communication interfaces such as LoRa, BLE, or Wi-Fi.
* Support prototype assembly, validation testing, and transition to volume manufacture.
* Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and product teams for seamless integration.
Requirements
* Proven PCB design experience (Altium, KiCad, OrCAD, or Allegro).
* Strong understanding of circuit design, power management, and IoT hardware.
* Knowledge of compliance testing and certification processes.
* Contract or freelance availability, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlinesBefore You Apply
