FINTEC Recruit is seeking an Electronic Engineer for our successful and established engineering client based in Caithness and Sutherland.
This is a permanent, full-time position with relocation allowance/assistance if relevant.
Working Monday–Thursday 8am–5pm, Friday 8am–12.30pm
Competitive salary depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop electronic circuits and systems
Work on battery management systems (BMS) and power electronics
Produce schematics and PCB layouts
Support testing, prototyping, and fault‑finding
Create technical documentation
Work closely with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards
Requirements for the Electronic Engineer
Degree in Electronic Engineering (or similar)
3+ years’ experience in electronic design
Experience with analogue, digital, or power electronics
PCB design experience using tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or KiCad
Embedded systems and microcontroller knowledge
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
Experience with battery systems or BMS
Knowledge of regulated or safety‑critical industries
EMC/EMI experience
Embedded C/C++ knowledge
