We’re searching for a warm, emotionally intelligent ELSA (or someone ready to become one). This role is all about showing children they’re not alone—that no matter the challenge, someone believes in them.
Contract: Full time – September 2025 start
Salary: £80 - £110 per day
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with emotional needs such as anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, or friendship difficulties
Deliver targeted ELSA interventions (1:1 or small groups)
Build trusting, consistent relationships with children across the school
Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, and parents/carers
Help children develop resilience, self-regulation, and confidence through structured activities
Qualifications & Skills:
Qualified or trained as an ELSA (or willing to complete training)
Experience working with children, especially those with social, emotional or mental health needs
Empathetic, patient, and positive – someone who truly believes in making a difference
Strong understanding of child development and emotional literacy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A team player who brings humour, humility and heart to every part of the day
