ELVS Senior Project Manager – City of London – £80,000
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in delivering complex ELVS or MEP projects? An exciting opportunity has opened to lead a major Extra-Low Voltage Systems package in the heart of the City of London. If you’re looking to take ownership of a high-profile build from preconstruction through to commissioning and handover, this role is for you.
The Senior Project Manager position
You’ll be the driving force behind the successful delivery of a major ELVS project, leading a cross-functional team of planners, quantity surveyors, engineers, subcontractors and software specialists. The scope includes Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Security, Communications & Network Systems (CNS), Smart Technologies and Master Systems Integrator (MSI) works. You’ll manage all stages — from early planning to commissioning and final handover — ensuring quality, safety, time, and budget expectations are exceeded.

Key responsibilities
• Team Leadership & Coordination
- Line-manage planners, QSs, project engineers and software engineers
- Align subcontractor PMs, engineers and installation teams with project goals
- Set clear objectives, review performance, and foster strong communication
• Programme & Controls
- Develop and manage the integrated programme
- Chair regular “look-ahead” meetings and update forecasts
- Issue Early Warning and Delay Notices in line with contractual obligations
• Commercial & Contractual Oversight
- Work with QS to control costs, manage variations and claims
- Review subcontractor costs and protect project margin
- Ensure contract deliverables, valuations and accounts are submitted accurately and on time
• Risk Management & Quality Assurance
- Lead risk workshops and implement mitigation plans
- Enforce CDM-compliant H&S standards and conduct site QA audits
- Resolve non-conformances quickly and effectively
• Commissioning & Handover
- Oversee integrated testing and software/network commissioning
- Coordinate O&M manuals, training and successful client handover
- Ensure all contract obligations are closed out post-handover
Skills and experience required
Essential:
• Proven experience leading large-scale ELVS or MEP projects in London
• Track record of managing multi-discipline teams
• Solid commercial and contractual understanding
• Confident using project tools such as MS Project or Asta Powerproject
Desirable:
• Background in smart buildings, MSI or digital building systems
• Experience with BIM workflows and digital twin platforms
• Knowledge of sustainability frameworks (e.g. BREEAM, NABERS)
Salary and benefits
• Competitive salary dependent on experience (PAYE)
• 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
• Private BUPA healthcare after 6 months’ probation
• Company pension: 5% employer contribution / 3% employee

• Location: City of London (office/site-based)
• Hours: 08:00 – 17:00
• Start Date: Immediate / subject to notice period
