EMC Test Engineer

Are you an experienced test engineer specialising in EMC within electronic or electrical systems? Our client, a leading defence organisation based in Bristol, is seeking a dedicated EMC Test Engineer to join their innovative team on a permanent basis.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to deploy your EMC testing expertise in a state-of-the-art facility, supporting critical defence projects. You’ll work closely with a skilled team, performing EMC tests in line with Defence Standards, utilising Compliance 5 and EMC 32 software, and producing comprehensive test reports.

EMC Test Engineer key responsibilities:

    Conducting EMC tests at company laboratories aligned with project test plans

  * 

    Supporting risk reduction and qualification testing activities

  * 

    Ensuring compliance with relevant EMC standards, including defence specifications

  * 

    Documenting test procedures and outcomes clearly and accurately

As the ideal candidate, you will have:

    Experience in EMC testing to Defence Standards

  * 

    Proficiency with Compliance 5 and EMC 32 software

  * 

    Strong background in electronics, electrical engineering, physics or related fields

  * 

    Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously
