EMEA Business Development Manager (Data Centre Solutions)
Report to: VP of Sales EMEA and Data Centre Director
Location: flexible within EMEA (with regular travel across the region)

Position Summary
Our client is seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Manager (BDM), specifically for the Data Centre vertical market, to strengthen their presence across the EMEA region. You will be pivotal in growing the organisation’s data centre security portfolio. This will be achieved by targeting regional accounts, securing new business, and building strategic partnerships across the region. This is a high-impact role, ideal for a hunter who excels at relationship-building, negotiating master service agreements (MSAs), and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute strategic plans - create a tailored business plan and sales strategy to meet ambitious regional sales targets, focusing on acquiring new EMEA-based data centre accounts
· Drive new business - target data centre operators and hyperscale clients in industries like Technology, Cloud Computing, and Telecommunications; initiate at least five MSA negotiations annually for solutions like CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and fire prevention
· Collaborate regionally - partner with regional Account Managers, the SES “Deal Desk” team, and product partners to deliver customised physical security solutions, from proposal phase through to implementation phase
· Forecast and report - provide accurate monthly and annual sales forecasts to the VP of Sales EMEA and Data Centre Director; align forecasting to achieve significant growth in EMEA data centre bookings by 2030
· Represent the organisation - deliver compelling presentations, manage pre-qualification and tender submissions, and build lasting relationships with data centre clients across EMEA
· Travel with purpose - travel across EMEA to connect with clients, embodying the organisation’s ‘regional expertise, local service’ ethos
Skills Required
· Communication and influence - exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and deliver impactful presentations
· Energy and drive - a highly energetic, self-motivated team player who thrives under pressure and is passionate about exceeding targets
· Analytical mindset - strong financial and analytical skills to address challenges, evaluate opportunities, and maximise profitability
· Tech savviness - proficiency in physical security systems and solutions, with knowledge of data centre security requirements, is a distinct advantage
· Mobility - willingness to travel regularly within the EMEA region
Experience Required
· Proven experience - at least two years of experience selling physical security solutions (e.g. CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, fire prevention) to end-user accounts, ideally in the Data Centre or Critical Infrastructure sector
· Negotiation and bid expertise - strong negotiation skills and experience in bid writing; a talent for crafting winning proposals and estimates.
Education and Certifications
· A degree in Engineering, Security Technology, or a related field is a bonus point
· Industry-specific certifications (e.g. PSP, CPP, or data centre security) are bonus points
Work Environment
This role is flexible within the EMEA region and requires regular regional travel. For mobility, a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
